Morning out with Mommy & Daddy

Yesterday Jake, James and myself went to get out Christmas family photos taken.  They came out really great!  While we were waiting for them to print (that's right you get them within a hour from when you take them..so cool), we walked around the outdoor mall.  We came across this statue....James as SO cute!!

He first grabbed the hand of the little boy.

He then decided to take a load of and sit for a minute!

He loves to smell flowers (yes! there are still flowers in bloom in GA...man am I ready for some snow!!!)

Picture with Santa

This is the picture we had taken of James and Santa. I tried to scan it , but it didn't work, so I took a picture of it. Sorry it is blurry, but I think you can get an idea of the lack of enthusiasm on James' face.  He is so adorable even when he isn't smiling!

*~Lights of Life~*

Yesterday we took James to meet Santa Claus and see the Lights of Life at our school.  Life University has an awesome set-up of holiday lights all over the campus.  People drive from all over Georgia to view the spectacular lights.  They also have  goats to feed, miniature ponies to ride, Santa, and snacks.  We had a really great time.  James did too until we introduced him to Santa.  He has been saying Ho Ho all weekend (that's right 2 Ho's.....not 3!)  We were hoping he would be excited and he was...from a far.  Up close and personal was totally different!  James didn't cry, he just sat there with the look of fear on his face and at one point he did give us a huge puckered lip..like he was threatening to burst out into tears.  He loves the picture of him and Santa.  We'll try again in Florida!  : )

Sunday morning...we captured some of the many faces of James!

On our way to the Lights of Life

James liked the goats. He kept saying Baaaa..Baaaa

Mommy trying to get kisses (all the time)

I LOVE toasting marshmellows!

Goofballs per usual!

This car was totally decked out in lights..so cool!

Thanksgiving

We had a really great Thanksgiving this year...even with all the sicknesses going around!  My mom was in town for a week and with her help and the help of Debbie & Nicky (even though they were sick..God Bless them!)  we had a feast at our house.  We also had our friends Matt and Anais join us for dinner.  We had a great day!!

Pre-dinner in his Lions gear (it didn't help..they still lost!)
Check out his eye....James got his first shiner the week before.

Mom & Jake stuffing the turkey.  It was pretty funny to watch. I'll be sure to post the video.

James watched the Macy's Thanksgiving parade while we prepared for the day. He LOVED the Broadway routines. (Like mommy, like son!)

The pre-dinner spread..SO good!

Don't mess with a boy and his turkey bone!

Post-dinner fullness : )

Then a little activity to get ready for dessert.

Despite the stress of this quarter and all the illness going around our home, Jake, James and I continue to be positive and upbeat.  We know just how fortunate we are to live the life we do and are so incredibly thankful for all the blessings God continues to grant us.  We have an amazing family..James is a beakon of light when our days are stressful. Jake and I continue to grow as a couple and love each other more everyday.  We owe the world to Debbie & Nicky for the sacrifices they have made to help us raise James.  We are eternally grateful!!  We are thankful for all our family and friends for all of their support.  Our health, our home..everything we have we are so thankful for.  We hope you and your family enjoyed Thanksgiving and we look forward to Christmas in Florida and New Year's in Boston!

Too cute!

We had such a great visit with Yaya in town! We spent MOST of the weekend in our pj's and we listened to ALOT of Christmas music. Here is a quick but very cute video of James.

Dance Team

For those of you that do not know..this quarter I joined the Life University Dance Team.
We practice 2 days a week/2 hours per practice and perform at the Basketball Team's home games.  It has been a great experience and will continue through the basketball season until April.  I was also asked to be dance captain so I help to run the practices.  This past Thursday was my first game!!!
