Our Hercules

An update on the puppy.  Hercules is fitting in just perfect with our family.  He is pretty much house broken, LOVES to snuggle and is great with commands like sit, stay, come.  He is so smart!  We also cleaned out the dog pen in our backyard (thus the poison ivy) so he had a place to hang out when we can't be outside with him.
James and Hercules are too funny together.  They have a very brotherly sibling rivalry relationship! We feel so blessed to have such a loving, easy going puppy.

Look at that face!!!

What a handsome bunch of boys : )

Hercules is a real life toy for James.....and vice versa!

Just some of what we cleaned out of the pen

Almost clean...it is perfect.

He looks like bear

Boards & Yaya's Visit

I am happy to report that I completed Part I National Boards!  It was quite a grueling process
( 2 days, 6 exams, 120 questions each) & I was dealing with a nasty case of poison ivy but I did it!  Jake was out of town for a Pettibon seminar, but thankfully I had the help of my wonderful mom!!  Yaya came from Thursday until Tuesday and she was a wonderful help!  I was not around due to boards but I think she didn't mind since she got to spend so much time with James.
Here are a few pictures from her visit!

Yaya ~ isn't she SO pretty!

Too funny!

Morning snuggles are the best!

Welcome Hercules!!!

I am very happy to announce the newest member of the Wilson household...Hercules!  Jake and I decided this week that we were really interested in adopting a puppy.  When we heard about the Georgia puppy-pill that was busted over the weekend and 130 dogs were confiscated and brought to the Atlanta Humane Society, we had to help out and adopt.  We saw "Toby" online and when we met him in person it was love at first sight.  He is a wonderful addition filled with love and play-fullness.   James is totally smitten.  They have become best friends!  We look forward to the days ahead and the bond we will establish with this amazing little ball of fluff!

Snow in Georgia!!!

Yes that is correct....we had snow in Georgia....3 inches!  It started off Saturday morning as rain and by afternoon we had fluffy white snow falling fast.  It was really pretty and it is still cold enough that some still remains.

Birthday #2

Not only do I have the best family..I have the most wonderful friends as well!  Last night Holly threw me a pizza birthday party at the Treehouse on campus.  She went ALL out!  There was snacks, pizza, soda, balloons, yummy cupcakes and a song. Yes, I said I song. Toward the end of the evening I see Hailey with her guitar.  I took a seat and Holly proceeded to say some of the nicest things a friends has ever told me.  Then as Hailey played the guitar (she is a very talented guitarist) Holly sang "Lean on Me" (she has a beautiful voice!) It was so special.  After that a few of us went our for drinks.  We had fun!!!

Blowing out my birthday cupcakes : )

James & Megan...so cute!

My Birthday!

Have I mentioned lately that I have such a wonderful family!? This Saturday was my ...3? birthday and I had board review from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  For my lunch break I headed over to Nicky and Debbie's to find a small birthday luncheon waiting for me!  Jake's brother Eric is in town visiting and we all had lunch together .  The afternoon was filled with laughs, great food, gifts, flowers and so much love.  They really made the day special for me...so special I took a 2 hour lunch break!  ; )

That night when I got home I was tired beyond imagine.  I was still fighting the end of the flu and my energy level was down to nothing.  I was feeling so stressed with everything going on I just wanted to crawl in bed and hide.  So instead of going out to dinner like planned, Jake made me take a hot shower and he would order Chinese food.  His parents & brother were over and we had a really nice night. Here I thought with Board Review on my birthday I was getting a bum deal..turns out it was a wonderful birthday after all!  Oh yes and to add to the festivities, since we didn't go out to dinner, Jake took me on Sunday afternoon to Old Navy to do some birthday shopping.  He is SO sweet!

Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus

We went to the circus this Sunday and it was SO much fun!  Debbie & Nicky took Jake, James & myself for a Valentine's Day gift.  The show was really great and James definitely got his fill.  We had awesome seats only 8 or so rows from the floor.   We indulged in nasty but tasty circus food, took pictures, laughed like crazy and really had a wonderful family day!

This pretty much sums up James' face the entire time.."oh my goodness!!!!"

This cage had 7 motorcycles in it a once...CRAZY!!!
