Jake and I had the pleasure of attending our dear friends Chris & Krystal's wedding this Saturday night. We had SO much fun! We were fortunate to have Hailey & Megan babysit so we could stay out late and have a good time with friends.
The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast. We wish Chris & Krystal a marriage filled with love, health and much laughter.

It is crazy to think that one year ago this Thursday Jake and I made a belly cast for my big ol' pregnant belly. We were on summer break and about week from our due-date and board as ever. Our midwife had been telling us about doing a belly cast and how fun tehy were so we thought "what the heck" and made one! Turns out...we had a blast doing it and now one year later we get to reflect on that moment and just how big I was!
Jake and I took James this morning to have his 1 Year Old photos taken. We had such a good time! The studio was really great and totally catered to the needs of a James. We went with the intention of getting one portrait package but of course left ordering a WHOLE lot more!! Enough for all of our family and friends. We also got the cd from the entire photo shoot. Is James smart or what?!? We introduced James to using a fork last night. It didn’t take more than a few times before he figured out how to use it himself…well almost. He had a few successful times and a few not so successful, but regardless it was so cute watching James try this new thing out. James is also on the cusp of walking. For the last couple of weeks he has been standing strong on his own. He will stand up and look through a book or clap his hands. The other he took 3 strong steps forward. He knows he can do it, we just think he is building up the confidence. It won’t be long!

It has been so hot here....we have really enjoyed using that pool. We can't wait until we have a 1 minute's drive to it!
So yesterday I had an enormous headache that made its way to a migraine by the afternoon…yuck! James also decided he was not interested in taking any naps. So… what do 2 parents do when they have to study and have no time away from baby James…FINDING NEMO!!!! Oh yes, we found out this weekend that James loves this movie. So much in fact that he sat still snuggly next to me for quite some time. We haven’t been ones for letting James watch too much t.v. But let me tell you…this weekend it SO came in handy.
Even when I got up to use the ladies room James didn't budge.
It is hard to believe that our friends Seth and Bri’s daughter Zooey turned 1 years old last week (James is right around the quarter!!!) We had a great time at her birthday celebration this past Saturday. It feels like just yesterday Bri and I were waddling around campus getting ready to pop, swimming on Friday’s night @ OhBaby Fitness, getting icecream from Dairy Queen and now here we are 1 year later and it went by in the blink of an eye! In just a short 3 weeks we will be in Massachusetts celebrating James’ 1st birthday!!!
