Oranges

James was introduced to Oranges this week! It was by far one of the cutest responses to food we have seen yet. I don't think there is much of anything that James does not love! He is such a healthy little boy with an even healthier appetite.

Our friend Bri's birthday!!!

Sunday was our dear friend Bri's birthday! We were invited over for yummy cake & icecream. It was a really nice visit and of course James got to see his friend Zooey!

James' Valentine

Well, I had mentioned before that we went to visit our friends, Bri, Seth and Zooey yesterday. I guess love was in the air because Zooey mauled over James and planted a huge kiss right on his lips. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen....

She wore James out!!!

Valentine's Day

Jake and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!

We started our day with a great breakfast, gifts and some play time with James. Jake then went to class and me and James stayed home and played. When Jake was done with classes we went to Life Cafe (not the school) for a fantastic Vegan lunch. The food there is AMAZING!!! We then went over to Harry's and picked up some groceries for dinner and bought James a Valentine gift (a wash-rag puppet..shaped like a dolphin) super cute. We then headed home for naptime. After a very short nap we went out to deliver Valentine's to our friends. We first went to Bri, Seth & Zooey's where I believe James got his first kiss. Zooey and James love to play together! Lastly we stopped by Lindsey, Adam and Joshua’s. James always loves seeing his buddy..they even had Valentine's for each other! After a fun-filled day we headed home to get little Hammie ready for bed. Jake and I spent a romantic evening together eating some wonderful food, drinking champagne, chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and a great movie. Jake and I reflected on how much love we have for each other and for James and how it continues to grow everyday! Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's as well!!!

Yummy Apple

Today James tried his first piece of fruit..an apple! We cut a little slice and put it in his baby-safe feeder (a little mesh bag attached to a handle. You can place any fruit you want inside and let your little one chew at the fruit without the worry of biting off a piece.) James at first was just excited to taste a new "toy", but then when he realized it had flavor..he REALLY liked it!

And the best part...once he realized how great apples taste...he wanted to share it with us!!!

Big boy car seat

Jake and I bought James a new (big-boy) car seat yesterday. We realized he has just about
outgrown his infant car seat with his little feet hanging over the edge. It was definitely a mildstone realizing this will be his car seat until he is a toddler. He is growing up so fast Jake and I can hardly believe it!
Here are a few pictures from his first ride in his "big-boy car seat!

Spending the day with Mommy

James and I had a great day together. We played all morning in his room, James took some naps, he ate some yummy butternut squash and then went for a 3 mile walk around the Chattahoochee River. I had fun taking some pictures today as we played. He is growing so fast!!!

First Crush

Well, I think it was pretty clear that James has his first crush! My good friend Bre brought her daughter Zooey over this afternoon for me to babysit. Zooey is 3 weeks older than James....guess he likes older women. Like father like son....enojoy the pictures...

Check out those teeth!!!

Swinging

Jake and I decided to take James to the park last night since it was such a nice evening. The fresh air was gladly welcomed by all of us! When we first got to the park we thought before we would go for a walk around the park we would try James out in a park swing for the first time. I think he liked watching all the children more than swinging in the swing. After our walk we fed James his dinner butternut squash under the gazebo. Messy..messy boy!

Superbowl Sunday!!!

Despite their loss..I am still happy to post pictures of us supporting an awesome football team... The New England Patriots during our Superbowl Sunday party. We had a few friends over to watch the game. We ate some good superbowl food and had an awesome cake our friends Adam, Lindsey & Joshua brought.
We let James stay up a little later than usual to watch the kickoff! We had a really good time!
