Sweet baby!

Dad had fun with James in the bath the other night.

Here is a little video of play-time today!

No Peas Please

James has been eating whole foods now for a month. We started him on avocado..not one of his favorites. Since then he has had carrots, butternut squash and peas. Here is his first experience with peas.

Not only is it fun watching James eat these new foods, but Jake and I make all of James' food which is so fun in itself!!!

We are back...

....and what an amazing Christmas break we had. Jake, James and I returned almost 2 weeks ago from a wonderful 3 1/2 week break. We have been crazy busy since we returned making some wonderful updates (a.k.a. baby proofing) our home and also started classes. We are back into the groove of things and it feels good.
As for our break here are a few highlights: On December 15 we drive to Florida with Grandma Debbie and Papa Nicki to see Jake's family and to celebrate Christmas. The weather was warm and wonderful. We did some shopping at Miramar and sunned ourselves on Sanibel Island and Captiva, 2 beautiful beaches. We also spent some really nice quality time with Jake's family. On the 27th we flew to Boston to see my family. That Saturday we baptized James at St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church. It was a beautiful service and a very fun party to follow! New Year's Eve day we toured Boston and saw the ice sculptures. We had a quiet New Years evening and as tradition my mom made dinner for the entire family on the 1st. That following Saturday my brother got married....and what a beautiful wedding it was. Needless to say it was a very busy but an incredibly special Christmas break. We flew back to Florida on January 8th than drove back to Atlanta the next day.
James of course was great the entire trip. Even with the hectic schedules, the new faces and all that traveling he continues to remind us just how special he is. SO many great developments since we left as well. First, James tried whole food for the 1st time. We gave him avocado...it went pretty well. The pictures tell it all! James can now fully sit up unassisted and play. He is also a rolling machine. He rolls to his toys and rolls back again. It is really cute to watch. James also received a very special Christmas gift....his 2 front teeth!!! In a matter of a week James cut his 2 front lower teeth. Of course to follow suit with his mild-mannered personality, he never fussed with the teething once. His smile looks pretty darn cute!
Overall, Jake and I were overwhelmed with all the love and gifts we were given over the course of the break. We are just so blessed with all of our loving friends and family. Everyday we thank God for you!!!
Here are a few pics from the trip. If you would like more please feel free to email me @
