Updates!

Jake, James and myself are finally settled into our new home...and we love it!  We made the move or should I say started the move on the 17th and moved all the furniture that Saturday the 19th.  After a week of organizing, cleaning and decorating we have made this house our home.  The space is HUGE..the backyard is wonderful and the neighborhood is really nice.  We have a 10 minute walk to the pool and have all the stores you could ask for within a 10 - 15 minute drive.  The commute to school is about 15-20 minutes, but it is worth the longer drive.

We are also SO excited because Debbie and Nicky make their way from Las Vegas to Georgia this weekend.  The begin the drive cross country Friday and it should take them about 2-3 days.  We wish them a speedy trip with God’s blessing to keep them safe!!!

James update!!!!!  What can I say....James has really turned into a little boy.  He is on the brink of walking.  He will take you by the hand and walk around the house, the yard..wherever.  But, on his own...well, he knows he can get around faster when he crawls.  He is also quite the mimic..making all the same sounds mommy and daddy make.  He has mastered saying “Hi” and “fish”  of course with “dadda” and a variation of “mamma”..more like “umma”.  He points to everything, wanting to know what it is.  His appetite is amazing eating all the time.  He loves to sings songs, especially “The wheels on the bus”.  He moves in hands in circles for the entire song...really cute!

After a coupe of rough weeks, he is finally back on track with sleeping.  The transition from being of vacation, mommy and daddy going back to school, moving to a new home and teething...sleep was an issue.  James seems to be settling into our new home and loving it just as much as we do.

This is going to be a crazy quarter with me taking 6 classes, Jake in classes, clinic and Parts 2 & 3 of boards, however we are excited to get through another quarter.  We are motivated and excited to attend seminars together.  We are looking forward to date-night every week and family outings as well.

College Roommate Reunion

I got to spend an afternoon with my 4 college roommates!  We had not been together as a group since Pam's wedding 4 years ago.  It was a perfect afternoon....we drove down to Webster, MA where Pam lives.  We spent the day by the lake and on the boat.  It was SO great reconnecting and reminiscing with my girlfriends.  I miss them dearly and love the so much. I am also very excited for the them!  Jessica will be having her 3rd girl this month.  Pam is pregnant with her first and due this October and Kristen is entering nursing school this fall!!!

4th of July & James' Birthday Bash!!!!

James' got to celebrate his birthday on the 4th of July with our family & friends.  He also got to share the birthday celebration with his 2nd cousin Marcia.  Earlier that day we did the traditional 4th of July festivities.  The parade in Needham followed by the Flea Market.  Jake and I got to see awesome fireworks in Arlington, but James was home with Yaya fast asleep after a looooong day!

The best part of the day was watching James taste cake for the first time.  There was some hestitation at first but it didn't take long before he really just how yummy it was!!!

After some persuation...

James' 1st Birthday

We had a wonderful first birthday with James.  The morning was spent opening gifts with Yaya and in the afternoon we brought James to a Farm for the first time.  That evening Dean and Deanna took all of us out to dinner.  James REALLY liked it when the entire waitstaff sang him "Happy Birthday".

Back From Boston - A few more highlights!

Saturday we walked along the ocean with Dean & Deanna.

We spent last Sunday in Portsmouth NH with one of my oldest girlfriends, Marie and her boyfriend Les. We had lunch in town and walked around the shops. Later that night we had a cookout with Marie's mom and husband Billy. That was the first time my me and Marie's mom had seen each other 18 years!!! We had a blast!!

We spent 3 days down the Cape at a beautiful bed-and-breakfast in Dennisport.  It was a 5 minute walk from the Inn we stayed at when we were children.  It was great to reminisce!  We went to the beach, we went out to eat and of course got ice cream at The Sunday School House.
